Susan first discovered the property after moving to Austin in 2016. A lifelong storyteller with a degree in Communications, she signed up for a picture book weekend intensive at The Writing Barn, where she met Vivek’s wife Bethany.

After continuing to hone her craft through The Writing Barn and publishing her debut picture book in 2023, she joined the Barn’s online faculty and began managing rentals for the Barn and Sangam Retreat.

With a keen eye for details and logistics, Susan coordinates rental contracts, manages outreach, and otherwise ensures that guests have a pleasant stay at the property. She and her husband live in Southwest Austin with two rescue dogs.
